Executive Coaching Discovery Call Landing Page: What to Include
Build a discovery-call page that explains fit, timing, qualification and the next step before an executive coaching prospect books.
Overview
A discovery-call page sits between interest and commitment. It should explain the purpose of the conversation, help the prospect decide whether it is relevant, and make the next step feel clear before a calendar appears.
OneStudio can connect a public website to configured availability, booking and ordinary client records. Explore OneStudio features.
Start by defining the job of the call
A discovery call is not automatically a free coaching session. Say what it is.
For example:
A 25-minute introductory conversation to understand what you are looking for, answer practical questions and decide whether a longer coaching engagement makes sense.
If the call is paid, say so. If the coach provides real coaching during the call, describe it accurately. If the call is only for fit and scope, do not imply otherwise.
Say who should book
A short qualification section can improve the calendar more than a long form.
This call may be useful if you are:
The page can also clarify situations the coach does not serve. That protects both sides from an unnecessary appointment.
- stepping into a senior leadership role;
- considering an executive career transition;
- looking for a structured external thinking partner;
- evaluating one-to-one leadership coaching.
Keep the form short
A discovery-call booking flow does not need a complete life story.
Useful fields may include:
Avoid asking for detailed employment disputes, medical information, psychometric results, legal claims or other highly sensitive information in a marketing booking form. The purpose is to prepare the conversation, not collect confidential coaching records before a relationship exists.
If qualification needs more context, see Executive Coaching Enquiry Form.
- name;
- email;
- role or organization, if relevant;
- one short question about what the prospect wants to discuss;
- optional phone number if the business genuinely needs it.
Explain duration and format before the calendar
A prospect should not have to click through several screens to learn whether the call is 15 minutes or 60 minutes.
Place the basics near the CTA:
If the coach uses direct booking, OneStudio can show open times based on the schedule and availability configured in the project.
If Google Calendar is connected, OneStudio documents a separate work calendar created for the connected business. It does not read or change the Google account's personal calendar or other calendars. Test the actual OneStudio work-calendar synchronization before describing the integration to clients.
- duration;
- free or paid;
- virtual or in person;
- who the call is for;
- whether the appointment is automatically confirmed or reviewed.
Separate direct booking from reviewed enquiries
Direct booking works when the coach is comfortable letting a qualified prospect choose from valid open times.
A reviewed enquiry works better when:
The website should make the distinction obvious. Request received is not the same as appointment confirmed.
- the buyer is an employer;
- several leaders may participate;
- procurement is involved;
- the service is custom;
- the coach needs to review fit before offering a time.
Put trust beside the booking decision
The page does not need the entire biography, but it should not feel context-free.
Useful trust elements can include:
Do not add a wall of logos without explaining what they mean. See Executive Coach Website Trust for a fuller proof framework.
- one short credential line;
- relevant executive or industry experience;
- a concise coaching philosophy;
- one or two approved testimonials;
- a link to broader service information.
Show what happens after booking
A good confirmation flow reduces unnecessary email. Tell the visitor what happens next.
For example:
OneStudio supports notifications and booking reminders where configured. Current public product information does not establish automatic Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting creation, so use only the joining process the business has actually configured.
- Choose an available time.
- Receive the booking confirmation.
- Review any preparation instructions.
- Join the call using the actual meeting process used by the coach.
- Decide on the next step after the conversation.
Handle time zones carefully
Executive-coaching clients may be in different cities or countries. Do not rely on vague wording such as “3 PM” without context when the booking experience spans time zones.
Test how the booking interface displays time for a remote visitor and make necessary time-zone information explicit in supporting copy or confirmations.
Do not hide pricing questions
A discovery call can reduce uncertainty, but it should not become a trapdoor around basic commercial information.
If the practice has fixed pricing, consider showing it before the call. If the engagement is custom, explain that pricing depends on scope. If there is a minimum engagement, say so when appropriate.
For a broader commercial structure, see Executive Coach Services and Pricing Page.
Mobile conversion checklist
Before launch, test the page on a phone. Confirm that:
- the page loads quickly;
- the purpose of the call is visible before scrolling far;
- the primary CTA is obvious;
- the booking interface is usable without horizontal scrolling;
- form fields are readable;
- the confirmation works;
- reminder content is accurate;
- there is a clear way to contact the coach if something goes wrong.
Example page structure
- H1: Book an executive coaching discovery call
- One-sentence purpose statement
- Who the call is for
- What the call covers
- Duration / price / format
- Short trust proof
- Booking calendar or enquiry CTA
- What happens next
- Small FAQ if genuinely needed
- Final contact option

Questions businesses ask
Should a discovery call be free?
There is no universal rule. The page should reflect the coach's real commercial model and state the price clearly.
Should I ask detailed intake questions before the call?
Usually ask only what is needed to prepare the conversation. Deeper intake can happen later if the coaching relationship proceeds.
Can I use OneStudio for a discovery-call booking flow?
OneStudio publicly supports services, working hours, online booking, client records, payments where enabled, notifications/reminders where configured and an optional separate OneStudio-created Google work calendar. [[See the feature overview|/features]].
Does OneStudio automatically create a video meeting?
That is not currently established by OneStudio's public feature documentation, so do not promise it without separate verification.
